"We always try and work out what is the oil price that companies and resource rich countries need to actually go off and develop the next chunk of their oil, we think that price is 92 dollars per barrel but the oil price went up to 130 last year, so we are literally 40 dollars ahead of that oil price," Oswald Clint, senior oil analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein, told CNBC.
