The G20 dropped the idea of a bank levy when it met over the weekend. "Some of the steam has gone out of" the push for a united global financial regulation, Roger McCormick, author of 'Legal Risk in Financial Markets,' told CNBC Monday. He sees more countries tackling regulation alone in the future.
