"Last year, 725 new companies established themselves in that free zone [the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre]; that was a 50 percent rise over 2009, and the interesting part is that 90 percent of those businesses came from outside the region," Malcolm Wall Morris, CEO at Dubai Multi Commodities Centre told CNBC. "This year, those numbers have increased even further," he added.
