Royal Weddings Leave No Money for Markets: Charts

Fri 29 Apr 11 | 01:40 AM ET
“After royal weddings, and in years of royal weddings, more or less, there’s no money left for the stock market. It’s only going sideward,” Chris Zwermann, global strategist at Zwermann Financial, told CNBC after analysing charts of the Dow Jones moves in past royal wedding years. “Only in 1999, when Prince Edward got married, we saw the market go up until May, where we’re now, and after that, we only went sideward,” he added.
