French and German bank stocks were driven lower in recent weeks on fears about the risk of contagion of Greece's debt problems to the rest of Europe, as they have a large exposure to Greek borrowers. Jonathan Tepper from Variant Perception told CNBC that "Spain is a bigger story than Greece."
